Andy Ward
Andy’s creative career started in London where straight from university he built a successful print and design studio working with the likes of Vodafone, Puma, Dove and Samsung. Thirsty for more integrated marcomms experience, he moved agency side as a pitch-winning senior creative strategist at Cheil, BMB and Coley-Porter-Bell for clients as diverse as Adidas, Avis, Bahlsen Biscuits, Freemans and Kawasaki.
Following a move to Brighton, Andy decided to co-found Library as a design-led marketing agency to provide a more bespoke client service. Andy can often be found fixed wheeling around town, running various half marathons or deep in some kind of cricketing/football mission with his two sons.
Social & Comms Director
Rebecca Wheeler
Rebecca’s story started in account management for London design agencies What If!, Design Bridge and Conran before heading client side as International Creative Manager for Laura Ashley. There she oversaw the creative marketing for over 15 franchise partner territories from Australia to Japan, before moving back to agency life as Art & Content Director for 24 Productions before co-launching Library.
Rebecca oversees the agency’s content production, sharing of content over social platforms and data-led consumer behaviour. She’s a dab hand at styling a shoot, a mean photographer and a restless hoarder of cookery books. When they aren’t deep in a mixing bowl, her hands are kept full with Olive, the agency’s resident cavapoo (barks a bit, total softie) and her two boys.
Strategy Director
Roland Glover
Roland’s 20 year career in integrated marketing saw him start off in consumer PR as a Director at consumer tech outfit Kazoo before founding and MDing London Experiential and social agency Neon which was acquired by ad agency BMB. After leaving BMB and a two year adventure living in Bali, Roland returned to the sunny south coast to join Library where he looks after client strategy, business development and organisational culture.
Roland also teaches Marketing Leadership at the University of Brighton and writes, “nearly” completing that elusive first novel. He can often be found hiking the Downs when his two young daughters aren’t insisting on tickle fights.
PR & Digital
Sophie Tanner
Sophie is our PR and Digital Lead with over 15 years experience across the food, lifestyle and travel sectors. Thanks to her journalistic background, Sophie is adept at writing and storytelling; a creative and strategic thinker in brand communication she produces compelling content, builds strong influencer relationships and helps deliver fully integrated campaigns as part of the Library team.
Account Manager
Steph Howe
Steph started her marketing career in the sports industry which led her to coordinating and managing a range of digital marketing content in the world of football for Brighton & Hove Albion FC, before joining Library. A keen sportswoman herself, Steph enjoys netball and keeping fit at the gym. She’s also a big foodie and is always on the hunt for new recipes to showcase her culinary skills..
Designer & Creative
Katie Hurst
We lured Katie down from Manchester where she began her professional career as a Graphic Designer, having completed her degree at Manchester School of Art.Katie is a key part of our brilliant creative team, from generating ideas to the final outcome. She’s a fan of art direction and has a growing love for motion design, being the talent behind much of our animation work. Outside design Katie loves being by the sea, walking in the Downs and flicking through Interior Design books – not to mention a bit of tap dancing when she gets the chance!
Moving Image
Gavin Williams
Gavin works his magic behind the camera directing, producing and editing our filmed content. His love of film extends into all areas of a rather busy life which includes 4 kids (including twins, yup), a cockapoo called Scout and his favourite film-making toy, the (drum roll) phantom drone. Phantom Gav we call him.
Graphic Designer
Julia Sabo
Originally from Germany, Julia moved to Brighton 5 years ago and fell in love with the city.
With a background in film marketing (eOne and Sony Pictures), Julia decided to shift direction into graphic design and is now a key part of our growing studio team. Another keen foodie, Julia keep us up to date on the latest food trends when she’s not destroying a punchbag in the gym. Fists of steel.
Account Manager
Meg Rhys-Challis
Meg came down to Brighton for university and never left, picking up a Masters in Journalism and Media on her way, with a Distinction no less. Meg’s a key player on both our Marketing & PR account teams combining her love of veganism, copywriting, and cooking with a keen eye for what makes a great story. A self-confessed music snob, she’s an avid gig-goer and keeps a very careful watch on Alexa’s playlists in the studio.
Designer
Abi Everett
Abi’s a key part of our fantastic design team.
A former teacher of graphic design, Abi is a big fan of typography and illustration often bringing her hand-drawn artistic flair to our work, as well as planning and styling shoots. Outside of her work with us, Abi has her own online print shop brand and loves heading off for long walks on the South Downs with Charlie and Oscar (clue: only one of them is a Border Collie).
SEO Specialist
Richard Hammond
Richard’s our SEO whizz, his 8 year experience ranging across a wide spectrum of businesses – from local Sussex companies to start-ups and global brands. Outside of work he optimises his own personal search for the best malt whisky and sports of all kinds.
PPC Specialist
Monika Varzinskaite
Monika is responsible for our clients’ paid media strategy and making sure we’re exceeding our marketing KPIs with strategic digital advertising campaigns across multiple platforms – Google to Amazon to Facebook to Insta. For her, the best part of the job is being an integral part of multiple businesses and driving growth. When she’s not deep in data, Monika fills her time with music especially vinyl hunting and gig-going.
Nutritional Therapist
Phoebe Liebling
When it comes to all things nutrition, Phoebe knows her onions. With a clinic in Harley Street and a long list of collaborations with brands, Phoebe is adept at providing informed and perceptive advice into the role of nutrition in health and wellbeing, based on her own extensive research and expertise.
Copywriter
Debbie Noakes
Debbie’s our expert wordsmith, her skills honed across a 20 year career in travel journalism which has taken her to the furthest-flung corners of the planet. Best place for a Negroni in Phnom Penh? Ask Debbie. Quietest beach in Australia? Got it. Best restaurant with a view in Vancouver? Easy.
At Library Debbie ruthlessly whips our creative copy into a lean and healthy shape, pulls together slick messaging and translates brand stories into compelling, consumer-friendly language. When she’s not here, you can bet she’s off in search of a story – the Edinburgh Fringe is her favourite destination for collecting tales too strange to be true.
Account Executive
Gaby Polin
Gaby moved to Brighton after studying Media and Comms at Sussex and falling in love with seaside living. She combines her love for organisation and statistics with her creativity and passion for food and wellness. Gaby can be found cooking up a storm in her tiny kitchen, trying to out-run herself on Strava or attempting to try and rank every pizza in Brighton.
